Tonino Tognana was born in Treviso in May 1955, the fifth generation of a family of industrialists who, thanks to his father, in 1946 diversified from the brickworks sector into the world of ceramics and porcelain tableware.
He was the only son of four sisters, and as a child his passion was mainly for racing cars. After years of apprenticeship with Opels, thanks to the good results he achieved he was able to drive semi-official and/or official competitive cars of the various manufacturers, from Fiat Abarth to Ferrari, Lancia and finally Porsche.
During his racing career he drove 31 different cars, winning 10 times on his debut.
He was the only driver in Ferrari's long history to have driven a Prancing Horse car to victory in 1982 in a National Championship of International Rallies, which had always been dominated by all other car manufacturers.
The pages of this book, full of anecdotes and curiosities, tell us a lot about Tonino the driver, and it will be easy to understand that in him "brain, liver and foot" combined very well.
The work is completed by a DVD that recounts, with original and unpublished images, the winning ride of 1982 with the Ferrari 308 GTB.
