The Diablo has been a very important car for Lamborghini. Not only because it brilliantly picked up the boundless and iconic legacy of the Countach, but equally - and even more significantly - because it is the model that alone survived the brand's most difficult historical periods before its acquisition by Audi.
The genius of Luigi Marmiroli and the talent of Marcello Gandini gave life to a car that was refined and constantly improved over time, thus always remaining close to the changing needs of customers.
With the Diablo, the House of Sant'Agata Bolognese moved from a handcrafted dimension to production methods that have, among other things, allowed it to be the first Lamborghini in history available in two body variants.
This new monograph in the Supercars series traces its entire technical and stylistic evolution, reviewing all the versions of the model in more than ten years of life: from the Diablo of its debut in 1990, to the VT and the SE 30, passing through the Roadster and the restyling of 1999, before moving on to the GT, the 6.0 and the SV-R, the ‘extreme’ Diablo designed specifically for racing.
Lamborghini Diablo features 168 pages and more than 150 images. Text in Italian and English.
